For ages 11-14 | July 12-16 & 19-23, 2021 | 9:00 am-3:30 pm | At Bellarmine University | $369
This camp is the place for you if you want to continue developing your theatre skills! In the mornings, you’ll learn more about theatre in hands-on class sessions. In the afternoons, you’ll rehearse a one-act play to perform for your friends and family. Join us to grow as an actor — and have a blast doing it! This camp is open to young actors who have previously performed in at least two plays (at school or elsewhere). Beginning actors are welcome in any of our other camps.
Note: Students will perform in-person for invited guests, but audience size may be limited to ensure social distancing. Read about our COVID-19 precautions here.
First kiss. First driver’s license. First breakup . . . by text. Everybody says growing up is exciting, but they forgot to mention it’s also embarrassing, scary, and sometimes, so funny it hurts.
Kellen just got her first “real” boyfriend, and her big sister is ready with advice about everything she’s doing wrong. Naomi is on the verge of getting her license, but “freedom” doesn’t look like she thought it would. Meanwhile, Carson seems to be doing his best to make everybody in show choir hate him. But is it his fault that his social skills suck? Or is the rest of the choir determined not to give him a chance?
Follow four teens as their lives unfold during one ordinary day, a day made slightly extraordinary by rites of passage from kid to adult. Ready or not, the future is coming. And that’s a good thing . . . right?
This summer’s play is subject to change depending on enrollment.
