Real Life Drama: Compassion & Empathy

For Grades 3-6 | 60 Minutes | Up to 30 Students* | $125 Per Workshop**

Real Life Drama uses technology, film clips, class discussions, and most importantly, hands-on role playing to empower students with life skills! Each of our eight individual workshop themes is united by a shared focus on compassion. These sessions are ideal for any group of students that needs to build empathy and interpersonal skills. Follow the links below to learn more about each workshop.

How the Program Works

Each of the eight sessions engages tweens with social and emotional learning using three key elements.

By the end of the program, your students will have practiced compassion and empathy in a real-life setting for eight weeks . . . and we believe that will make a real-life difference in the way they treat each other every day!

*We can accommodate up to 30 students per session. However, we’ve found that particularly with at-risk youth, a smaller group size of 15-20 students can be more effective, because there’s often less negative peer pressure and more opportunities for the students to connect with each other. With that said, we leave the number of students to your discretion (so long as the total does not exceed 30). We strongly recommend that you send the same students to each workshop. Real Life Drama is most effective when students experience all eight sessions.

**$125 is the cost for a single workshop. If you schedule all eight workshops at the same school during the same academic year, you’ll receive a $25 discount on each session (a total of $800 for the 8-session program). These prices apply to presentations which take place on or before December 31, 2017. A travel charge applies for destinations outside of a 20-mile radius from our office near downtown Louisville.

The Grit Game Show is a motivational assembly about achievement and resilience where students become contestants in an onstage game show! So far, we’ve presented 25 performances for 5500 students, and we’re still going strong.

  • We also offer Real Life Drama assemblies for elementary students on the topic of bullying prevention.
