We’ve never met a kid who doesn’t love to play games! Kindness Games uses large-group games and fun, interactive demonstrations to deliver an impactful message about kindness. Our focus is on basic conflict resolution skills, because disagreements between kids are the biggest source of unkindness that we know.
It’s a foot race with a twist: the winner is not the person who crosses the finish line first. Instead, it’s the person who can stop the quickest! When you disagree with someone, it’s also important to be able to stop. Take a break and cool off before you do something you’ll regret!
All of the kids combine forces to create a Human Maze using their bodies. A single classmate must make her way through the maze to the other side. Can she do it? That will depend on how well she listens. Listening to the other person is a key part of conflict resolution. Without it, you’ll never find a solution to the problem.
Two kingdoms are in danger of going to war. Their last hope for peace is that their ambassadors will be able to negotiate a settlement. Unfortunately, the ambassadors don’t speak the same language! This demonstration emphasizes the importance of sharing your own perspective in a conflict. Don’t expect the other person to read your mind.
Teams will compete to pass a beanbag from one student to the next as quickly as possible. What’s the catch? The beanbag can only be moved using your feet! Just like in the game, disagreements can only be resolved when people work together. When they do, it’s possible to find a win-win solution!
We’ll help you empower your students with the skills to resolve conflicts, which will lead to a kinder school climate! Call (502) 718-5090 to schedule Kindness Games.
