Girl blowing a party hornPlaymaking

Recommended for grades K-4 • 1 hour
Get ready to rehearse and perform in your very own play—in only one hour! First, you’ll take on the character of an animal (like a cat, a dog, or a pig). Then we’ll rehearse to get ready for your performance of a classic fairy tale! Parents are invited back 10 minutes before the workshop concludes to see their kids perform. (A multi-session Creative Drama workshop is also available.)

Pop-Up Storybook

Recommended for grades K-4 • 2 hours
Use your whole body to express yourself onstage! We’ll focus on ways you can use your face, arms, legs, head, and all the rest of your parts to portray a character. Then we’ll create human pop-up storybooks, where you get to become a character in a story!

Comedy Improv Basics

Recommended for grades 4 and up • 90 minutes
In less than two hours, you can learn the basics of performing Comedy Improv—just like on TV's "Whose Line Is It, Anyway?" You'll practice Collaboration, Storytelling, and Goal-Setting skills. Finally, you'll rehearse a short, imaginative scene and perform it for the class. (A multi-session Comedy Improv workshop is also available.)

Acting Like a Professional

Recommended for grades 4 and up • 90 minutes
Ever wonder how professional actors do their work? They make it look so easy! Well, one workshop won’t turn you into a professional actor, but you can learn the basic skills used by good actors around the world. We’ll practice Objectives, Tactics, and Given Circumstances in this action-packed, hands-on class. (A multi-session Acting: The Next Step workshop is also available.)
