Comedy Improv
Recommended for grades 6 and up
6 sessions of 2 hours each
Your students will learn to play those hilarious improv games, just like Whose Line Is It, Anyway? Improv is a lot of fun, and it also improves teamwork abilities and all-around performance skills. Students will learn and practice principles including "Yes, And," "Storytelling," "CROW," and "Effective Collaboration." This class culminates in a 30-minute performance for family and friends. (A simplified version of this class, Intro to Improvisation, is available as a one-time workshop.)

Creative Drama
Recommended for grades 1-6 • 3-4 sessions of 2 hours each
If your students have always wanted to be in a play, this is their chance! Students will prepare and present a 10-minute, improvised version of a classic fairy tale. Along the way, they'll learn about the basics of acting. This is the perfect place for kids to get their first taste of the stage! (A simplified version of this class, Storytelling Live!, is available as a one-time workshop.)

Advanced Creative Drama
Recommended for grades 3-8 • 5 sessions of 3 hours each
Here's the place for older kids to stretch their dramatic muscles! They'll learn much more about performing as they memorize lines and prepare a 10-15 minute scripted play for performance. (An expanded version of this class is also available—students will prepare a one-act play, approximately 30 minutes in length, during 10 class sessions.)

Create Your Own Play
Recommended for grades 4-8 • 6 sessions of 2 hours each
This one's for aspiring writers as well as actors! Participants will learn the basics of storytelling, character creation, and dialogue writing. They'll put those newly-acquired skills to use by penning an original five-minute play. On the last day of class, students will have the opportunity to perform their new works!
Acting: The Next Step
Recommended for grades 5 and up • 8 sessions of 2 hours each
"Acting: The Next Step" is ideal for students with some theatre experience who would like to take their skills to the next level. They'll learn some of the fundamentals practiced by professional actors, like Objectives, Tactics, Obstacles, and Subtext. Then, they'll practice their skills through class exercises and performing scenes from dramatic literature. Help your student actors move ahead in their craft with "Acting: The Next Step"! (A simplified one-day workshop, Acting Like a Professional, is also available.)
Pop-Up Storybook (Extended Version)
Recommended for grades K-4 • 5 sessions of 1 hour each
Use your whole body to express yourself onstage! We’ll focus on ways you can use your face, arms, legs, head, and all the rest of your parts to portray a character. Then we’ll create human pop-up storybooks, where you get to become a character in a story! (A simplified, one-day version of this workshop is also available.)
Story Art
Recommended for grades 1-6 • 5 sessions of 1 hour each
This innovative class combines two of the most prevalent forms of expression in our culture: storytelling and visual arts. Each day, students will work on an art project that tells a simple story, using diverse mediums like photography, collage, and paint.
