Advanced Center Stage Drama Camp

Take Your Acting Skills to the Next Level!

This camp is the place for you if you want to continue developing your theatre skills! In the mornings, you’ll learn more about theatre in hands-on class sessions. In the afternoons, you’ll rehearse a one-act play to perform for your friends and family. Join us to grow as an actor — and have a blast doing it! View photos from a previous production here.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This camp is open only to young actors who have previously performed in at least two plays (at school or elsewhere). Beginning actors are welcome in any of our other camps.

This Summer’s Play

Everybody at school makes fun of Trish Jenkins because her father owns a junkyard. Even worse, Trish’s Dad is about to be forced out of business by the city’s crooked mayor. One day, a traveling magician unexpectedly arrives at the junkyard. He won’t reveal his name, but he seems like the answer to all of the Jenkins family’s problems. When the magician begins to show his evil side, however, Trish must make a choice between showing compassion to her classmates (even though they make fun of her) . . . or letting the evil conjurer do his worst! Rumpelstiltskin has a lot of laughs, but also explores the deeper theme of empathy. (Please note that our play is subject to change based on enrollment.)
