What a Character: Bullying

For grades K-6 | 60 minutes | Up to 300 students | $250

George is determined to be cool this school year. If he learns enough putdowns and shuns the kids who are “different,” he’s sure he can become popular. But that’s before Zach shows him the effect that bullying–even the verbal kind–can have on other people. Finally, George (and your students) discover what bullying looks like, and how to stop it. Plus, audience volunteers get to come onstage to act out stories about kindness!

Topics covered during our interactive assembly include:

  • What is a bully?
  • How can you stop a bully if he/ she is picking on someone you know?
  • What are some ways to find help if you’re the one being bullied?
  • How can showing kindness make a difference?
